How we verify github desktop facts

Package ids for installs are checked against microsoft/winget-pkgs and formulae.brew.sh. Release filenames come from the live GitHub Releases API on non-prerelease tags.

Commands described as verified resolved in those registries on the review date. Behaviour of installers on locked-down machines is marked carefully when we could not run them here.

Prerelease tags are skipped for desk guidance unless a review explicitly promotes them. Filename regexes are checked against live release assets before the install panel is trusted.
